Get Your Home Ready for Holiday Guests

The holidays are coming, and along with them, plenty of house guests.  There are quite a few things to do so that your home can handle all of the extra foot traffic.  The best furniture store at the Lake of the Ozarks has a few tips for you to get your house ready to welcome friends and family.

Clutter Control

You will want to make sure that all common areas are clear of anything that doesn't belong there. Next, areas that will be used more than they normally are, like extra bedrooms and spare bathrooms, will need to be straightened up.  This could be quite a job if you use any of those rooms for extra storage space.  You want your guests to feel at home, not like they are sleeping in a giant closet.

Finish grocery lists and make sure that you have all of the kitchen items you need to both prepare and serve holiday meals.  If group outings will be a part of your activities, like parades or viewing lights, mark them clearly on the calendar with times and directions.  Gather anything that you need to take care of any special traditions that you have with your family and friends.
